World Series Game 6

World Series Game 6: The Atlanta Braves have another chance to clinch their first World Series title since 1995 with Game 6 on Tuesday against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park.

The Astros forced the series back to Houston with a win in Game 5 on Sunday night, overcoming an early 4-0 deficit to cruise to a 9-5 win, Atlanta’s first home loss of the postseason.

The Braves still have a 3-2 lead in the series and send ace left-hander Max Fried to the mound in Game 6 to try finishing things off against an Astros lineup that may have woken up with a big game on Tuesday.

When Adam Duvall’s grand slam gave the Braves an early 4–0 lead in Game 5, many assumed the series was over. But the Astros stayed alive in the series thanks to some unlikely contributions—namely what Martín Maldonado did at the plate. The light-hitting catcher had three huge at bats in the game, with none bigger than the bases-loaded walk he drew off A.J. Minter to tie the game. Those big ABs from Maldonado and Marwin Gonzalez helped Houston get to Atlanta’s talented bullpen, forcing tonight’s Game 6 in Houston.

Max Fried, who has been outstanding in the playoffs but struggled in Game 2, will take the ball in a potential clincher for the Braves. On the bump for the ’Stros will be 24-year-old Luis Garcia, who has had an up and down postseason.

have become a symbol of good faith for the Astros. Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale first invited the sisters to the home games of the ALCS and the team won every single game they attended. One sister even threw the first pitch at Game 6 of the American League series.

They came back for Game 1 and 2 of the World Series and the ‘Stros walked away from Game 2 with a win.

Now the ladies are coming for Game 6, hoping their good luck and prayers bring the Astros one step closer to another World Series trophy. And ladies, we need all the prayers because if the ‘Stros take home Game 6 we will go to Game 7 where the winner takes all.

And according to Mattress Mack, if we go to Game 7, the “Rally Nuns” will be back at Minute Maid.
